Afianza strengthens its legal area with the incorporation of Álvaro Martín as new director of Corporate Legal Advisory within its strategic growth plan. With this arrival, the company consolidates the integral coordination of all its legal affairs, from corporate governance and compliance to governance in Artificial Intelligence.
A profile with more than 20 years in compliance and corporate governance
Álvaro Martín comes from Grupo Amara NZero, multinational specialized in energy and logistics with presence in 10 countries, where over more than two decades he assumed different roles: General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer, Data Protection Officer and Chief Sustainability Officer.
Among its professional milestones, it has led the group's corporate insurance program, the certification as a green bond of 270 million euros under the Green Bond Principles, and the design of the company's global framework of corporate governance and compliance.
In addition to his corporate career, Martín combines his professional activity with teaching: he teaches at EAE Business School and has collaborated as a professor in the Master's Degree in Business and Energy Law at Cremades & Calvo-Sotelo and CEU University.

Its mission: to coordinate the corporate legal advice of Afianza
In his new role, Álvaro Martín will assume the integral coordination of all legal matters of the firm, including corporate governance, compliance, data protection, prevention of money laundering and governance in Artificial Intelligence, among other matters.
Martin said: "I am very excited to join a firm like Afianza, with a very complete vision of the needs and that is in the middle of the growth phase. I face this new stage with the commitment to strengthen legal advice and accompany the firm in the face of the new regulatory and governance challenges", says Álvaro Martín, Director of Corporate Legal Advisory of Afianza.
One more appointment within Afianza's strategic plan
The arrival of Álvaro Martín adds to other recent additions that reflect the moment of expansion that Afianza is going through, including that of David Casas as Director of Consulting, that of Guillermo Pérez-Montero as Director of Operations and Business Integrations, and that of Rafael Vázquez Romero as Corporate General Director. These movements confirm the firm’s strategy to strengthen its key business areas with high technical and managerial profiles.
