ESG and Sustainability Consultancy

Beyond compliance with the regulations

At Afianza we help companies to respond to the regulatory challenges related to sustainability reports (ESG). We accompany them in the preparation of their reports, the analysis of double materiality, the adaptation to the CSRD and ESRS, the calculation of the carbon footprint and the application of the EU Taxonomy, integrating these requirements into their processes and information systems.

The constant evolution of regulations, the complexity of standards and the need to collect reliable information from different areas of the organization make it essential to have specialized support. Our experts help you interpret applicable requirements, identify your obligations and convert them into procedures, controls and action plans that facilitate compliance and improve the quality of your sustainability information.

We carry out procedures to evaluate the material issues of the organization, applying principles of dual materiality, as a starting point for determining the material information to be disclosed in the sustainability report. We identify and evaluate the impacts, risks and opportunities of sustainability from a dual perspective: material information on the impacts of the organization on people and the environment (impact materiality) and material information on the risks and opportunities for the organization related to a sustainability issue (financial materiality).

In the area of climate change, we help organizations establish good practices that contribute to their sustainability objectives: carbon footprint measurement (GHG), establishment of transition plans for climate change mitigation (SBTi, EFRAG…), climate risk analysis to facilitate climate change adaptation (TCFD).

In order to comply with the obligation to calculate the carbon footprint and to draw up and publish plans to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, set out in Royal Decree 214/2025, we guide the organization in calculating its carbon footprint, identifying and quantifying its main sources of greenhouse gas emissions in the applicable scopes. This diagnosis will allow defining objectives and reduction plans adapted to its business activity and strategy.
